I. ENSEMBLES AND RECRUITMENT
All members of the Worship Teams must be members in good standing of Briarwood Presbyterian Church and must be auditioned and interviewed by Pastor Haines.
Singers are grouped into three, auditioned and interviewed categories: Soloists, Congregational Leaders, and High School Singers. Soloists are those with significant experience as solo singers. They also serve as first call for on-mic anthem singing.
Congregational Leaders are auditioned singers who are not experienced soloists (any Congregational is welcomed to audition to be a soloist with Pastor Haines or I may move singers into that role when I think they have trained themselves to be a soloist).
High School Singers are high school aged, auditioned and interviewed singers.
Band members are grouped into their respective auditioned and interviewed categories.
Worship Team Assignments:
Worship Team Assignments 2026 - PDF (August 31, 2026 update)
Recruitment and participation: Each Staff Worship Leader, Worship Associate; Volunteer Assistant or Seminary Intern (Pastor Haines; Hannah; Connor; Chris; Daniel; Hunter; Shane;Tom ) freely recruits from the list of Soloists; Congregational Leaders; High School Singers; and Band Members, per the requirements of the service and music. Generally speaking, Experienced Soloists and those Congregational Leaders and Band Members with the greater music reading and/or exceptional aural skills will receive priority in recruitment, per the subjective needs of the staff worship leader.
